MAYAN GATEWAY
Influenced in form and materials by many years of living on a ranch in the foothills of north central Texas, an ambience of big sky and light, this sculpture prompts images of a portal on the horizon. It is constructed with limestone, red sandstone and slate. Though complete in this scale, measuring 30 inches in length horizontally, it may also be viewed as a model for a large scale sculptural entry or gateway.
